State of the Yard

Well, this morning didn't look promising, because even though the weather reports kept saying it was going to clear off,  I had rain on the way to work.  But by early this afternoon, the clouds were breaking up and by the time I got home, it was clear blue skies, sunshine, and 70° -- what a gorgeous, gorgeous day it turned out to be.  I sure hope they're right when they say this is going to stick around for a few days!  So here as you can see, the pink azalea is nearly in bloom while the yellow one has a few clusters full out, the wood hyacinths and forget-me-nots are taking over everywhere, the crabapple and dogwood are in full bloom, the red laceleaf maple is fully leafed out and the columbines are just starting to bloom.  I haven't gotten a good shot of them yet, so you can't really tell here, but the wisteria over the arbor is starting to bloom too.  I just love this time of year...
